In the seventies and early eighties KELTON issued some great character watches. It speaks for itself that these characters were France based and therefor appealed to the French kids and youngsters. 

However, the adventures of Asterix & Obelix as well as those of Lucky Luke, his horse Jolly Jumper and the Daltons are well known outside of France as wekk as these comic books were sold all over the world. Great to have these character watches in my collection. Not to wear though because these watches ar boy sized. Fun fact is that the Asterix watches have a so called 'mystery dial' where the sweep seconds hand is in fact a transparent disc making it float around the minute track.
